Outdoor doormats
Why a dirt-trapping mat?
Floor protection starts with a dirt trapper mat in front of your entrance door. Its spaghetti structure effectively removes dirt from shoe soles. This means that you remove coarse dirt from under your shoes before you even enter your home.
What is the difference between a dirt trapper mat and a dry-running mat?
Sometimes they are confused: the dirt-trapping mat, or outdoor entrance mat, and the dry-running mat. The former serves as a dirt scraper and should be positioned outside of the door for coarse dirt to stay outside. The indoor entrance mat, mostly known as dry-running mat, is tasked with absorbing as much moisture as possible and is used when entering the house. Together, these two doormats make for the perfect pair to keep dirt and moisture off your floor: firstly, coarse dirt is removed with the dirt trapper mat, then the moisture is absorbed by the dry-running mat for indoor use.

How do you clean a dirt-trapping mat?
To extend the life of the doormat, regular cleaning is advised. To do so, vacuum-clean the outdoor entrance mat about twice a week. This will remove all the dirt and make your entrance area look neat again. If necessary, the mat is also suitable to be rinsed with a garden hose.
What happens if some dirt gets in anyway?
Good entrance mats keep most dirt away. Unfortunately, you can never prevent dirt from ending up on your floor completely. To prevent this dirt from damaging your floor, it is also important to keep your floor clean. Last but certainly not least, the majority of floor damage is caused by poor quality or unsuitable protective caps or glides used for the furniture. Therefore, protect your floor with the 100% scratch-free furniture glides by Scratch no More.
